In July of 2016, Emily put out a call for submissions on her Facebook page. The premise was simple: what does it mean to be a woman? Within a few months, she received dozens of submissions from nearly 30 contributors hailing from all over the globe.
Tooth n Nail is a collection of womanhood and a platform for intersectional feminist thought--for stories, poems, images, fragments--of pain, longing, desire, confidence, pleasure, confusion, solidarity, and in-between spaces.
As we grow, we hope to include more voices and experiences that are often not represented in traditional publishing. We aim to amplify experiences and publish print and online content that reflects our standards of professionalism as well as aesthetic & editorial excellence.
We want to hear from you! Send your musings, poetry, to-do lists, dreams, drawings, stories, photos...
Check our main page regularly for the most up-to-date call for submissions.
“I want the following word: splendor, splendor is fruit in all its succulence, fruit without sadness. I want vast distances. My savage intuition of myself.”
― Clarice Lispector,
